Bird families lister must stop either in Panama or Costa Rica for the monotype Talamanca mountain range endemic family of Wrenthrush. Other families ticked on this milestone can be found in other northern Neotropic countries. On the west leg of my trip in Volcán Barú, I ticked Wrenthrush and Prong-billed Barbet (Toucan-Barbet family).
