The only Nearctic endemic bird family is the monotype Olive Warbler. All other bird families in North America have at least one member who appears in other biogeography zone. So here I am, climbing up to Mount Lemmon pine forest area, raising surprisingly above the arid Tocson Arizona landscape, to tick this tiny beauty. Pine trees habitat occurred only in high elevation, but since this is a ski resort, a good road takes you to the top. Finding the tiny bird can take sometime, and I choose spring time while the bird is singing. Trip list includes also some species seen in NYC, mainly on Central Park.
